
CDEK-Global has opened their large logistics hub in South Gate Industrial Park.

Radius Group, the leading developer of warehousing and industrial real estate, has completed the reconstruction of one of its buildings in South Gate Industrial Park for leading Russian express courier delivery operator – CDEK-Global. In Q3 2019 CDEK-Global, the logistics operator, leased 30, 000 sq.m. of warehouse space at Domodedovo-based Grade A South Gate Industrial Park. Since then, Radius Group has started works on upgrading the building.With upgraded warehousing space, CDEK-Global has placed one of the largest logistics hubs in Moscow Region. Commenting on the event Zakhar Valkov, Radius Group COO said: “One of South Gate Industrial Park’s key advantages is its prime location providing excellent access both to Moscow and Russian regions. The adaption of the building for the operator’s operational features became a fundamental factor for the client choosing South Gate Industrial Park ”. I am sure that a new sorting center based in South Gate Industrial Park will allow CDEK –Global both to improve its logistics network in Moscow Region and Central Federal District and to improve the quality of service for the end user customers”.
As requested by the tenant, substantial improvements were made to the building by Radius Group. The warehouse space was modified to meet the tenant’s logistics solutions. Particularly their racking systems were reconfigured, additional docks were installed for cross-docking operations and additional office space was formed on the mezzanine. The space was adapted for the installation of a conveyor line. As requested by the tenant, the power supply was changed. The electrical capacity was increased. The stand-by equipment was installed to ensure hub’s smooth operation.
The warehouse building in which CDEK-Global has placed its logistics hub is unique in terms of green technology. The building meets global environmental and energy efficiency standards - BREEAM and LEED.
