Leroy Merlin expands at South Gate Industrial Park

Radius Group, the leading warehouse and industrial real estate developer, and Leroy Merlin, the French retailer, announce the signing of a 9, 000 sq.m. lease agreement at South Gate Industrial Park.

Radius Group, the leading warehouse and industrial real estate developer in Russia and Leroy Merlin, the international retailer in the DIY segment signed a 9, 000 sq.m. lease agreement at A class South Gate Industrial Park. The companies have entered into the long-term lease agreement for 5 years.

Leroy Merlin opened the largest Russian national distribution center at South Gate Industrial Park in November 2016. The largest built-to-suit distribution center was developed and constructed for sale. At the same time, the retailer decided to relocate one of their hypermarket logistic facilities to the Park. Such a solution enables Leroy Merlin to further optimize logistic processes and goods flow management.  Apart from its convenient location, the additional important factor that had an impact on the choice of a new warehouse was the high quality of South Gate Industrial Park and its utility.

We are glad to continue our long-term cooperation with Leroy Merlin. Our new deal is an additional step towards retailer’s consolidation at South Gate Industrial Park. Along with this, we keep working with Leroy Merlin’s suppliers and develop the best solutions to locate their logistics platforms in our Park. So, suppliers will be able to dramatically reduce the timing for delivery goods to retailer’s DCs and reduce their transport costs”, comments Anna Sorokina, Radius Group Leasing and Marketing Director.

“Remaining a leader in Russian DIY sector, Leroy Merlin continues its steady work on improvement of the services quality and maintenance of the high level of competitiveness including through the reduction of logistics expenses. The solutions proposed by Radius Group help solve business tasks of the company and contribute to successful Leroy Merlin’s growth nationwide,” says Sergey Tselunov, Leroy Merlin, Logistic Operations and Transport Logistics Department Manager.
