Christine Bassett
Christine Bassett is a Principal and co-founder of the Roush/Radius companies. Ms. Bassett manages the firm's operational services. Her professional career includes more than 35 years of healthcare experience. She is the President of the firm's post-acute management company - Radius Management Services, Inc.
Prior to joining Roush/Radius, Ms. Bassett worked at the ADS Group in Newton, MA. Her work included serving as Managing Director of ADS Consulting, Vice President for Operations for ADS Berkshire, and Vice President of Marketing. As Vice President for the Daley Hotel Group, she was responsible for operations of three Boston hotels. She directed a $40 million renovation and refurbishment program, and developed comprehensive marketing and public relations strategies for the group as well as serving as Executive Vice President of Operations. As Director of Operations for JD Associates, Inc., she controlled the operations of luxury, multi-level nursing and retirement facilities.
Ms. Bassett has provided private consultation to long-term facilities, CCRCs, and assisted living facilities. She has also taught healthcare administration at three universities in the greater Boston area.

David A. Roush
David A. Roush is an attorney and healthcare consultant. He co-founded the Roush/ Radius companies, which specialize in providing management, development, and advisory services to clients involved in senior care and post-acute services. Roush/Radius has an in-depth knowledge and expertise in working with New England not-for-profit and proprietary clients. Mr. Roush manages the firm's consulting practices.
Prior to founding Roush & Associates, Mr. Roush served as Managing Partner at ADS Consulting. Mr. Roush worked with more than 300 clients including hospitals, government agencies, assisted living operators, nursing homes, lenders, not-for-profit organizations and a variety of healthcare organizations. He has specialized in strategic planning, regulatory affairs, managing work outs, project management advice and hospital senior care network development. His work has included assisting more than 20 hospitals establish senior care programs including transitional care and sub-acute units.
Prior to joining ADS Consulting, Mr. Roush served as Director of the Patient Protection Unit of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. In 1995-1996, he served as an appointed advisor to the Department of Health and Human Services OBRA Impact Assessment Advisory Group.
A frequent speaker and author, Mr. Roush's presentations have included numerous speeches to the National Health Lawyers Association and many long-term care organizations. He has drafted legislation and regulations relating to hospital and long-term care issues.
Mr. Roush is a graduate of Columbia University and Boston University School of Law.

Paul B. Kemp
Paul B. Kemp is a partner and serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Radius Management Services, Inc.
Prior to joining Radius Management, Mr. Kemp was the Senior Vice President of Finance for the Olympus Healthcare Group, Inc., a for-profit $180 million healthcare company based in Massachusetts. In his capacity as Senior Vice President of Finance, he was responsible for the oversight of all fiscal affairs of the company. These responsibilities included day-to-day cash management, financial forecasting, vendor management, interaction with Federal and State agencies, managed care contracting, and management of finance, accounting, treasury, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and information systems departments and personnel.
In addition, Mr. Kemp was responsible for all finance functions associated with the company's acquisition and business development activities. This experience included private capital fund-raising activities resulting in the infusion of over $150 million in equity and debt financing. Mr. Kemp was also a key member of the senior management team responsible for the successful execution of a company-wide restructuring plan involving the divestiture of certain assets of the company, senior debt restructuring, and negotiation of a revised working capital facility.
Prior to joining Olympus, Mr. Kemp worked as a Senior Financial Analyst for the Mediplex Group, and was previously an audit supervisor for Coopers & Lybrand in Boston.
Mr. Kemp is a Massachusetts Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.S. in Accounting from Fairfield University.

Dolores Schermer
Dolores Schermer holds the position of Vice President of Operations for Radius Management Services, Inc. Her career in the healthcare field encompasses Senior Management positions for the last 13 years. Ms. Schermer is responsible for the overall management and leadership for Radius Management Services' owned and managed facilities.
Prior to joining Radius Management Services, Ms. Schermer served as Senior Executive Director with multi-facility responsibility for the ADS Group and for Genesis Health Ventures. In that capacity, her areas of responsibility included resident care, personnel, financial, environmental, regulatory and organizational management.
In addition to her healthcare expertise, Ms. Schermer has over twenty years of experience as a teacher and senior administrator at the Horace Mann-Barnard School in New York City where she held the post of Director of Instruction and Curriculum Development.
Ms. Schermer holds a B.S. from Hunter College and an M.S. from Manhattan College, both in New York. Ms. Schermer has served on the Boards of Directors for the Women's Resource Center, the Harvard Council on Aging, Minuteman Homecare, VNA/Homecare, Inc., and on the Professional Advisory Committee of the Jewish Family and Children Services of Massachusetts.

Jonathan Banton
Jon Banton is a partner in the firm and an officer and director of the company's senior housing and development division. He oversees the firm's development and project investment and ownership activities. Mr. Banton has over 23 years of experience developing and financing continuing care retirement communities, assisted living communities and nursing homes. He provides the firm's consulting clients with development and finance services.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Banton formed his own consulting and development company, Brookline Development Group, in 1997. Mr. Banton's Brookline Development consulting clients included Beth Abraham Health Services in New York City and the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA).
Prior to forming Brookline Development Group, he was a founding stockholder in two health care company initial public offerings. Mr. Banton is nationally known for his expertise in developing and financing projects for seniors. He spent eighteen years with Herbert J. Sims & Co., the last ten of which he led the company's investment banking group providing over $2 billion worth of financing for not-for-profit and for-profit providers of nursing and housing for seniors.
Mr. Banton holds a B.A. from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Jeffrey M. Landa
Jeffrey Landa is a Principal in Roush & Associates. He is a Certified Public Accountant with 20 years of experience in the field of healthcare finance.
Prior to joining Roush & Associates, Mr. Landa was the Senior Vice President of Finance for the Olympus Healthcare Group. In this capacity he was responsible for the appropriate recognition and maximization of revenue, third-party reimbursement issues, management of the financial impact of regulatory changes and product/service line costing.
As the Assistant Vice President of Finance for the ADS Group, Mr. Landa developed protocols and provided financial and reimbursement advisory services to more than 20 hospital-based transitional care units, throughout their proposal, development, start-up and operational phases. In addition, he was responsible for the operating budgets for all nursing facilities, management of all third-party reimbursement, cost reporting, and internal audits, company wide.
Recognized as an expert on third-party reimbursement in the post-acute marketplace, Mr. Landa was appointed to the American Healthcare Association's PPS Committee that worked directly with HCFA in developing and implementing Medicare's prospective payment system. He has spoken at numerous seminars hosted by groups in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut on financial and reimbursement issues and the opportunities presented by regulatory change. He is the author of a Mass Media article on the financial opportunities of hospital-based skilled nursing facilities, and is past chairman of the Massachusetts Society of CPA's Long-Term Care Committee.
Mr. Landa holds a BS in Accounting from Bentley College.

Tom Lavallee
Tom Lavallee serves as Regional Director of Operations for Radius Management
Services, Inc. A healthcare professional with over 13 years of
experience, his background includes long-term care social work and senior
management positions in long-term care operations. In his current capacity,
Mr. Lavallee oversees daily operations at selected Radius facilities.
Prior to joining Radius Management, Mr. Lavallee held the position of Vice
President of Operations for Oakwood Living Centers, a skilled nursing
facility company with operations in Massachusetts and Virginia. In addition
to strong skills in fiscal management and regulatory compliance, Mr.
Lavallee has demonstrated expertise in the areas of census development and
community relations.
Mr. Lavallee holds a B.S. in Psychology from Worcester State College and an MBA from Western New England College. He is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, a Licensed Social Work Associate, and a member of the American College of Health Care Administrators.

Karen Koprowski
Karen Koprowski serves as Regional Director of Operations for Radius Management Services, Inc. She has over 30 years of experience in the long-term care industry, and is licensed as both a nursing home administrator and as a social worker. In her current capacity, she oversees daily operations at selected Radius facilities. Prior to this Regional position, she served as Executive Director at the two Radius facilities located in Worcester and Millbury.
During her career, Ms. Koprowski has worked for both for-profit and not-for-profit facilities, including those owned by the Diocese of Worcester and by St. Vincent Healthcare System. Areas of expertise include census development, regulatory compliance, community relations, marketing, fundraising and fiscal management.
Ms. Koprowski holds a bachelor's degree from Wheaton College, a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Anna Maria College, and a Master's degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Gerontology from Clark University. She has been a member of the American College of Healthcare Administrators since 1980.

Janet C. Hall
Janet C. Hall is a Registered Nurse with 15 years of varied clinical and consultative experience in the healthcare field. She serves as the Vice President of Clinical Services for Radius Management Services, Inc.
After receiving her nursing degree from Springfield Community College in 1990, Ms. Hall worked in the acute care setting, specializing in intensive care, cardiac care and emergency care.
Ms. Hall's career focus then shifted to long-term care. She has held various positions including Unit Manager, MDS Coordinator, Staff Development Coordinator and Director of Nurses. She served as Coordinator of Physician's Services for Golan HealthCare, covering both Massachusetts and New Hampshire territories. Subsequently, Ms. Hall became an independent nursing consultant, specializing in program development, implementation, turn-around activities, education and clinical management.
Since joining Radius Management Services, Ms. Hall has served as a
Regional Clinical Nurse Specialist and a senior nursing consultant, continuing to utilize her varied background within the consulting division of the company.

Donna Allen
Donna Allen is a Registered Nurse with varied clinical experience in the health care field. Ms. Allen serves as Director of Risk Management for Radius Management Services, Inc. In this role, she focuses primarily on regulatory compliance and other risk management activities for all Radius owned and managed facilities. Within the consulting division of the company, she has assisted other facilities by conducting mock surveys, formulating IDR requests and speaking to various groups, including NADONA and ACHCA, on survey preparation and management.
Prior to joining Radius management, Donna was employed for 15 years by the Division of Health Care Quality, within the Department of Public Health in Massachusetts, as a nurse surveyor, program manager for the Western part of the state and, most recently, as the Assistant Director of Survey Operations for the entire state. While at DPH, she chaired the Massachusetts Informal Dispute Committee. Additionally, she was co-author of Resident to Resident Violent Incidents in Nursing Homes, an article that appeared in the February 2004 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). In addition to her focus on regulatory compliance, other clinical experience included staff and charge nurse in acute care medical surgical units, supervisor of a home care agency, Director of Nurses in long-term care facilities, and consultant to long-term care facilities.
Donna holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Excelsior College in New York and is ANCC Board certified in Gerontological Nursing.

Deborah Paine-Motyl
Deborah Paine-Motyl is a Registered Nurse with over 25 years of experience in a variety of acute and long-term care settings. She serves as the Director of Clinical Reimbursement for Radius Management Services. In this capacity, she supervises the regional clinical reimbursement team and also acts as a clinical reimbursment specialist, overseeing the clinical staff at the facility level for Medicaid, Medicare and Managed Care Reimbursement Systems. This includes staff education, oversight, ongoing internal compliance auditing, information systems monitoring and payor source interface.
Ms. Paine-Motyl is also responsible for all MDS training within the Radius system and provides regular in-servicing on the RAI process. In addition, she provides clinical reimbursement consultation in outside SNF settings.
Prior to joining Radius Management, Ms. Paine-Motyl held a variety of positions at the Jewish Nursing Home of Western Mass, including PPS Coordinator, MDS Coordinator, Assistant Director of Nursing, and the Interim Director of Nursing. Prior to that, she was employed by Wingate HealthCare for over ten years as a Nursing Supervisor, MDS Coordinator and MMQ Nurse.
Ms. Paine-Motyl is a graduate of the Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing. She also holds a B.S. in chemistry from Emmanuel College and has been involved with immunology research at the Jackson Laboratory-. She is ANCC certified in gerontology and is a certified RN Assessment Coordinator (CRNAC).

Beverly Ann Atkinson
Beverly Ann Atkinson has a clinical background with over 25 years of experience in nursing, marketing and sales in the long-term and acute care setting. She serves as Vice President of Business Development for Radius Management Services, Inc. In her capacity, Ms Atkinson is involved with facility wide and corporate strategic planning, program and census development and initiating company growth opportunities through public relations and medical marketing.
Prior to joining Radius Management, Beverly served as Director of Admissions and Marketing for the Wingate Corporation. While in this position, her notable achievements included successful development of favorable casemix, negotiating advantageous rates for managed care patients, implementing training for the newly initiated Prospective Payment System (PPS) and development of marketing plans and strategies. She was also employed at Baystate Medical Center as a Medical/Surgical Nurse for many years.
Beverly holds a Massachusetts nursing license and has attended Springfield Technical Community College with a coursework concentration in business management and marketing. Her professional affiliations include the Women's Division of the Chamber of Commerce and the Zonta Club for Professional Women.

Theresa Magellan
Theresa Magellan is a registered nurse and licensed long term care administrator with over 20 years of experience in nursing / program development / marketing / administration in the longterm care, third party payor and acute care setting. She serves as the Vice President of Business Development for Radius Management Services, Inc.
Ms. Magellan is dually licensed in MA and RI as a registered nurse. She is also a MA licensed Long-Term Care Administrator. Ms. Magellan attended Rhode Island College and received her Bachelors degree in Nursing, and attended Salve Regina University and received her Masters of Science degree in HealthCare Administration.
Prior to joining Radius Management Services, Ms. Magellan served as the Director of Clinical Services and Information Systems for Diocesan Health Facilities. While in this position, some of her notable achievements included short and long-term system-wide strategic planning, political advocacy, extensive program development and implementation and development of comprehensive marketing plans and census building strategies for all five facilities.
Program development to enhance mission, improve payor mix and census included opening five Alzheimer's units, implementing a comprehensive system-wide palliative care program, and developing an inpatient respiratory care unit to name a few. Other areas included successful negotiation of managed care and vendor contracts, development of the DHF website and system-wide collaterals.

Madeleine Biondolillo, MD
Dr. Biondolillo provides leadership for Radius facility Medical Directors in the areas of standards of practice, policies and procedures as they relate to patient care and clinical protocols.
Dr. Biondolillo has an extensive professional background that includes four years as Executive Director of the Urban Medical Group of Jamaica Plain, and three years as the Medical Director for Pathways Healthcare Services. Her community service record includes ongoing positions with Bio/Health-IT World Publications and the Women's Educational and Industrial Union. She received her medical degree from Tufts University in 1990.

William Farina, DPT, MBA, CHE
William Farina serves as the Vice President for Rehabilitations Services for Radius Management Services, Inc. He is a healthcare professional with over 21 years of progressive clinical and managerial experience.
Dr. Farina holds a B.S. degree in Physical Therapy, a Masters in Business Management, both from the University of Massachusetts and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree from Simmons College in Boston. Additionally, he is a board certified healthcare executive (CHE) with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
Prior to joining Radius Management Services, Inc., he served as the Director of the Southern New Hampshire Rehabilitation Center in Nashua, NH and the Director of Rehabilitation for the Cambridge Health Alliance in Cambridge/Somerville, Massachusetts. Additionally, he has served on the faculty of the University of Massachusetts, Lowell teaching courses in healthcare management and administration.
He has served on several local community boards and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the New Hampshire chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association.
